Located in Dandenong South (in Melbourne), our conveniently positioned and innovatively designed waste depot allows for the secure and complete destruction of waste, including sharp waste and hazardous waste incineration. This is on behalf of public, private and governmental sectors in all areas of Victoria and beyond.
Not only is it the nation’s largest, but our high-temperature waste incineration plant, is also the most modern and leading-edge specimen of its kind to be found anywhere across the eastern seaboard. We recently added a new receival and treatment facility and are planning investments in infrastructure to consistently boost our premises.

Addressing the issue of pathogens
Alternatives to high-temperature incineration, such as autoclave-landfill or treatment-landfill, fail to destroy the clinical waste stream in its entirety (especially being able or approved for disposal of pharmaceutical and cytotoxic substreams). This can also lead to an issue with pathogens.
Whilst bacteria is often targeted by alternative treatment landfill methods, not all pathogens can be destroyed via these processes. It is alarming from both a biological and ecological standpoint that pathogens can lie dormant in the earth after being disposed of in landfill (with the risk of leachate leaking into our waterways).
Only high-temperature incineration can completely eliminate these dangerous microorganisms, (alongside all forms of clinical and related waste). Naturally, this is enabled by our Melbourne waste management plant, as well as our analogous Brisbane-based facility.
